ARB Philippine Representative Office is founded on June 15, 2011, registered with the Security & Exchange Commission under Registration No. FS201109668 and represented by a Resident Agent with a Registration Certificate No. RA-12-2025-R issued by the Insurance Commission of the Philippines.
Our Philippine Rep Office is located at Rm. 605, 6th Floor, Pearl Bank Centre,146 Valero Street, Salcedo Village, Makati City, 1227 Philippines.
ARB PRO is part of Asia Reinsurance Brokers Pte Ltd which is established to facilitate communication between our customers, prospective clients and the (re) insurance industry as a whole. We are committed working closely with stakeholders in the Philippines, whether they be the Regulators, Reinsurers or Insurers. We support and assist ARB Head Office in providing access, dynamic opportunities and timely service to our clients in the Philippines.
The Philippines (Re)Insurance Landscape
In the Philippines, reinsurance is governed by both general insurance laws and specific regulations under the Insurance Code of the Philippines (Republic Act No. 10607, supersedes Presidential Decree No. 612). This Philippine Insurance Code is regulated and is under the supervision of the Insurance Commission of the Phils. They are responsible for enforcing the comprehensive set of laws and regulations that regulates the local insurance industry.
It is also under the General Provisions of the Insurance Code RA No. 10607 that includes the Reinsurance provisions under Section 97-100. The IC of the Phils. mandates all insurance companies to secure reinsurance treaties. All non-life insurance companies must comply with the specific regulations regarding treaties including the reportorial requirements on any new treaties or changes in the existing treaty annually. This ensures that all companies operate within the legal framework and maintain compliance with the insurance regulations in the Philippines.
